Here you can see (sort of) how each piece was attached to everything else. I used 3 inch deck screws so I wouldn't have to pre-drill holes. Two screws attach the side rails to the leg, two more attach the front and back rails to the leg, and then two screws connect the side rails to the front and back rails.
